Introduction

It’s a distributed control system. After some research, I figured out the top DCS systems in the world like Yokogawa, ABB, GE, etc.

As the name suggests, a distributed control system (DCS) is a computerized control system for a process or plant usually with many control loops.

The number of loops in one DCS system is not predefined, it is dependent on the plant’s requirement. 

One DCS system can have many plc. under it for smaller loops to control. However, the whole system is known as DCS

The vendors of DCS make the system according to the requirements of the plant. The top vendors of DCS are the same as plc which are as below: –
